Many people come to me after working on an issue for a long time. That says nothing against the therapy and nothing against you. It was often valuable, and still something has stayed.
Why understanding isn't always enough
A conversation runs largely through the conscious mind. You may understand exactly where your anxiety comes from, and it's still there. It's driven by the unconscious, which speaks in images and feelings. It holds on to a pattern as long as that promises protection, even if your mind has long moved on.
In trance, we work directly with this part and show it that things can be safe in a different way today. What you've already understood in therapy isn't lost time: it helps us get to the right place faster.
What to clear up first
- Don't just stop anything. Never stop medication without consulting your doctor. Ongoing therapy can usually be combined well with hypnosis, as long as you talk about it openly.
- Check whether it fits. Hypnosis isn't suitable during acute psychosis. Very severe childhood trauma can be worked on online, but it's the one topic that's better done in person.
- Get help immediately in an acute crisis. If you don't know how to go on or are thinking about suicide, contact your doctor or an emergency service.
You'll find which topics I work on and how under hypnosis for mental health issues.
