Effects & Myths

How long does the effect of hypnosis last?

The push hypnosis gives can in principle last permanently — if you keep the momentum going. In practice, though, everyday circumstances often push back the other way, which is why progress can stall or partly reverse.

I see my work as a push in a particular direction. If that momentum is kept up, the effect can be permanent.

What happens more often in practice: everyday life, with its familiar surroundings, people and patterns, pushes back the other way — and progress stalls or slips back a little. As a hypnotherapist, I can't change your environment or your daily life. That's on you — holding onto the effect is always a joint effort in the end.
