Whether at work or in personal matters, we often have to make phone calls in life. Sometimes it is unavoidable; other times, it’s simply much easier and quicker than searching for a contact form and waiting for a response.
Since most people haven't had particularly traumatic experiences with phones, unconscious associations are often made that don't necessarily fit together. That's why therapy for phone anxiety with hypnosis is so promising. If we want to overcome phone anxiety, we need to eliminate the unconscious causes and blockages accordingly.
Like many phobias and fears, the causes often lie in the subconscious. This does not function the same way as our conscious mind and needs to be approached differently, especially in treating social anxieties.
When we look at phone anxiety from the perspective of the subconscious mind, it’s certainly related to uncertainty. Since most people are mainly afraid of talking to strangers on the phone, this conclusion is obvious. We don't know who is on the other end of the line, how the conversation partner will react, and we have no time to think about a response, as everything happens spontaneously and in real-time.
This means that if someone is not very self-confident or is highly self-critical, making phone calls at work or home poses a risk. Our subconscious protects us from danger primarily through fear. It’s an unconscious signal of a threat, which may only exist in our imagination, but to which we can react as though it is absolutely real.
Sometimes it’s also the case that making phone calls is difficult when someone else is listening. This often involves a certain fear of judgment or criticism. If one is not skilled at tuning out distractions, this can further intimidate those affected.
This fear of making phone calls naturally leads to a kind of blockage, which then doesn’t make phone conversations much smoother. The unpleasant atmosphere or the lack of responses, for example, to unexpected questions, then confirms the fear and can lead to a full-blown phobia. If someone is terribly afraid of making phone calls, it usually didn’t start that way but has intensified over time.
So we can say that the causes of phone anxiety are often related to a lack of self-confidence, fear of judgment, and placing too much value on others' opinions.
Hypnotherapy for phone anxiety generally has two components: The first is the general strengthening of self-confidence and spontaneity, which are important in interactions with others. The other part is the hypnotic communication of what we consciously know—that nothing can happen to us during a phone call. If we make this clear to the subconscious through hypnosis, the threat level of making phone calls decreases.
Most calls don't go according to the plan one has prepared in their head. Additionally, it might be the case that when the phone rings and someone calls you, there’s no time to make a plan.
To prevent fear from arising, whether when receiving or making a call, it's important to develop spontaneity through hypnosis and to trust in your gut feeling. It's not without reason that people say, "Speak from the heart" when they want to make a good impression. The mind is usually not quick or witty enough to find the right words.
This task must be entrusted to the subconscious to overcome communication barriers. To do this, we need to strengthen the connection between mind and heart, between conscious and subconscious, through hypnosis.
Whether answering customer questions, getting your own questions answered, or securing a reservation at a restaurant, a phone conversation is usually something that benefits you.
If we teach this to the subconscious mind, making calls may not become your favorite activity, but it will become something you do for your own progress. When internal dialogues are geared toward positivity, a positive attitude also develops. This reduces shyness, nervousness, and stress, and creates a better mood.
With these steps in hypnotherapy, fluid and anxiety-free speaking can emerge, making it possible to handle misunderstandings appropriately. This way, we can let go of avoidance in making phone calls and confidently pick up the phone with good communication skills.
Whether in phone contact or confidently giving presentations and speeches, the hypnotically learned skills can be transferred to all areas of life for greater success in all types of interpersonal interactions.
Hypnosis for pain treatment is becoming increasingly popular. Not only are operations now often performed under hypnosis in various hospitals, hypnosis can also be very helpful for patients with chronic pain.
So there is no such thing as "the pain", but rather a processing in the brain. However, this is not always consistent.
There are dull, throbbing, stabbing, burning and many other types of pain. Depending on how the pain arises or develops, it can also change or even radiate and move to other places.
Just like the perception of pain, the reaction to it is also different. Some people get angry when in pain, others cower away. Either way, prolonged pain saps your strength.
Our mood can also affect our perception of pain. Pain is experienced more strongly in depression, for example.
So pain can be changed. This means that we can change it with the right techniques. One of the best ways to change the sensation of pain is hypnosis. Hypnotic trance includes phenomena such as analgesia and anesthesia, which can be used.
One of the best ways to change the sensation of pain is hypnosis.
Hypnotherapy can relieve acute pain and reduce chronic pain. For the client, this means that the pain can subside during the first treatment or even that complete freedom from pain can occur. Negative feelings and expectations about the pain can also disappear. The sensation of pain is directly reduced in the hypnotic trance.
Hypnosis for pain can help with all types of pain. This includes, for example
Caution: Pain treatments with hypnosis should only be carried out if the symptoms have been clarified by a doctor.
Time and again in my practice in Zurich, I see pain patients being let down by orthodox medicine after a certain period of time. Perhaps you have already heard one of the standard phrases:
Such statements from doctors can be very demoralizing. However, you should not give up hope.
Fortunately, there are still hypnotherapists who can deal with the problem when other treatments have not (fully) worked. If you don't want to simply live with the pain, hypnotherapy may be the right choice.
All pain originates in the brain.
No matter where the pain receptors detect the injury, they transmit the signals to the brain via the spinal cord.
There, the signals are then interpreted as pain. This does not happen in one specific place, but affects many areas of the brain. For example, emotions and memory are also activated. This is clear because the aim of pain is always to avoid the trigger.
Even if the pain is perceived differently: It is very real for those affected.
Interesting: Because all pain originates in the brain, the brain itself is insensitive to pain.
Hypnosis helps when other treatments have not (fully) worked.
The effect of hypnosis on pain is one of the best-researched areas of hypnosis. The effect of hypnosis for pain reduction is now even used in hospitals to perform operations without anesthesia. Pain can therefore be largely or even completely eliminated with hypnosis.
Although this is designed to have a short-term effect and the pain returns after a certain time, it is a good example of what is possible with hypnosis.
A holistic approach is used in hypnotherapy for pain in order to maintain the pain-relieving effect for longer or permanently. The more we incorporate the client's entire experience, the better the chances of success.
After the preliminary talk, the trance part of the treatment begins:
The first step is usually to free the client from acute pain, if there is any. The sensation of pain can be reduced in the trance. In this way, the client can fully engage with the treatment. It can also be very important to experience that the pain can change and that an improvement is possible.
We can also use this feeling of freedom from pain. We can expand it or let it wander, just as we need it. Sometimes it also helps if we assign a color or shape to the freedom from pain so that our unconscious can remember it better. A kind of mnemonic bridge for freedom from pain.
Pain therapy is most effective when it is tailored to our personal experience. In this step, I let the aspects related to the pain flow into your trance. In doing so, we release the entire pain complex. Emotions, beliefs and hopes can come into play here.
We also listen to the unconscious signals that can play a role in pain. These can be very individual, but it is important to listen. Sometimes backgrounds come to light that would never have been discovered without hypnosis. However, these are all the more important if we want to heal the pain completely. If the pain acts as a signal, it is all the more important to understand it.
It can also be important to focus on a pain-free future, as pain patients often can no longer imagine a life without pain. In this way, we show the unconscious alternatives for the future and can align our work accordingly.
The more aspects of the experience we include, the greater the chance of successful hypnotic treatment of the pain. Furthermore, we reduce the possibility of a relapse if we become aware of the background.
An interesting possibility that only hypnotic trance offers is amnesia. Forgetting usually happens on its own, but it can also be induced intentionally with hypnosis.
If someone has lived with pain for a long time, it may have left its mark on many areas of their life. In order to live pain-free again, it is often necessary to forget the pain. The pain memory, which always leads back to the pain, is erased in this way.
The expectation, or even the fear, that the pain will return can also be removed in this way. This means that the quality of life is no longer restricted in any way by the pain.
Hypnosis is very suitable for treating pain. The unique possibilities of hypnotic trance can also open up new treatment options for long-term pain patients.
The more offers there are for online hypnosis and hypnotherapy, the more often the question arises as to whether it really works. Basically, the answer to the question: "Does hypnosis work online?" is yes. As someone who very often carries out hypnotherapy online, I can say this with great certainty. Hypnosis basically works the same whether it is experienced digitally or analog.
However, the question may refer to recorded or live hypnosis. Hypnosis on YouTube or via video chat with a hypnotherapist works differently, of course.
In addition, the goal can be different. Some simply want to get into a trance with hypnosis, others want changes through hypnosis.
Basically, hypnosis has two effects, namely the creation of a trance and the influence on unconscious parts. The second effect belongs primarily to the category of hypnotherapy and is based on the first effect. In principle, it is possible to go into a hypnotic trance without a post-hypnotic change occurring. However, we cannot change anything hypnotically without a trance.
Both of these effects of hypnosis can be achieved via the internet. Anyone who has ever caught themselves in a trance, e.g. while watching online videos (even unrelated to hypnosis), knows that screens can be very hypnotic. People who are glued to their smartphones are often very absorbed in a trance. They tune out the world and focus on what is happening on the screen. We can use this in online hypnosis. The first effect is therefore certainly given with online hypnosis.
The second effect, namely the change, depends very much on the type of online hypnosis.
Now that we have evaluated the possible effects of hypnosis, we can look at the forms of hypnosis: recorded or live.
Recorded online hypnosis includes everything from videos to audio recordings. These are available in various qualities and on various topics on the Internet. Certain hypnotists have built their entire business on selling hypnosis mp3s. Now we can ask ourselves whether and why recorded hypnosis works online or not.
In principle, most hypnotic media can put people into a hypnotic trance. In most cases, the audio track is sufficient, as most people close their eyes for hypnosis anyway. This means that audio files can also function as hypnosis.
The question is not so easy to answer when it comes to the change process of this recorded hypnosis. This is because the second effect of hypnosis is not necessarily dependent on the subject, but on the person. If the recorded hypnosis is appropriate and permissive, it can certainly work. However, most of the hypnosis I have heard on the internet is often not very elegant. The more straightforward and commanding a hypnotherapy is, the less people, or their unconscious, are picked up by it. I always have clients who have listened to a lot of hypnosis on YouTube or similar without feeling any great effect. If what is said does not fit, then our unconscious often gets in the way and a certain mood may be created, but sometimes the effect cannot unfold.
The transformative function of hypnosis in this form of online hypnosis is therefore limited for many people. However, this does not mean that you cannot be hypnotized. Because everyone can be hypnotized with the right hypnosis
The hypnosis that works best online is not recorded. This means that the hypnotherapist can tailor his hypnosis to the reaction of the hypnotized person. In contrast to recording, individual characteristics can also be taken into account. Not everyone likes "the white of the snow-covered mountains" and not everyone relaxes to the "sound of the waves". Certain suggestions such as diving into the sea can even do more harm than good. In personal live hypnosis, these facts can of course be taken into account.
The better the hypnotic suggestions fit our subconscious world, the better they are usually accepted and incorporated. That is why the personal touch is generally recommended for online hypnotherapy.
One-to-one hypnotherapy via video chat is of course the most successful method of hypnosis online. In my experience, hypnotherapy sessions via video chat work just as well as those in person. Sometimes they even work better.
People are very good at allowing themselves to be influenced by their surroundings. The effect of hypnosis is therefore also linked to the environment. The skilled hypnotherapist naturally makes use of this: "Every time you walk through the door, your inner self will remind you that...". However, experience shows that this application is less effective than hypnosis at home. I have often experienced in my practice that someone has tied the change to the premises and the transfer to everyday life was more difficult. However, if someone with sleep disorders, for example, is lying in bed for hypnotherapy, this connection can become much stronger. I had a client with whom this happened and she was able to fall asleep free of insomnia because she automatically remembered the images of hypnosis in bed.
Hypnosis can work well online if you let it work on you in the right way. Hypnotherapy works just as well or even better online than in person.
Alcohol is all around us. There's almost nowhere you can't buy it. Alcohol is quite socially accepted, unlike other intoxicants.
The figures from Switzerland on alcohol consumption are sobering, so to speak.
Due to the cultural anchoring of alcohol, it is not surprising that 86% of people over the age of 15 drink alcohol. The WHO calculates that 21.6% of the Swiss population over the age of 15 consume alcohol at high risk. This means that almost one in ten people drink alcohol every day in Switzerland 3 (9.5%). In general, it can be assumed that every 5th person drinks too much or too often. In the end, it turns out that around 250,000 people in Switzerland are addicted to alcohol.
With figures like these, you might ask yourself at what point you switch from being a risky drinker to an alcohol addict. Like many aspects of the psyche, it is a fluid transition. That's why we can also rely somewhat on the clinical definition:
The signs of alcohol addiction are as follows:
So anyone who has such signs should think about their own alcohol consumption. As hypnosis is not only suitable as therapy but also as prevention, it makes sense to make an appointment even at the first signs. After all, if you are worried that you are in the risk zone, this is usually an important sign that something is unconsciously not going quite as it should. Of course, not everyone who drinks every weekend is an alcoholic. But you shouldn't wait too long. You should change something as soon as you notice the first effects on your body or even alcohol poisoning.
And in general, you can say that the earlier you intervene, the easier it can be to change something.
Nobody wakes up one morning and suddenly becomes addicted to alcohol out of nowhere. It is usually a gradual process until at some point you realize that something is going wrong. Unfortunately, it usually continues until you reach a point where you realize that you can't go on. Many people then still have a certain amount of time before they seek help. This is often the development of dependency. There are different definitions of the stages, stages or phases of alcohol addiction. For me, however, it is important to know where we can intervene. Because although hypnotherapy has certain possibilities that affect the memory, bypassing the addiction memory is a challenging topic. And the earlier we start, the better.
They say that the first step is to recognize that you have a problem. You can come to me even earlier. Hypnotherapy for alcohol can be used not only in cases of severe alcohol addiction. Hypnotherapy treatment can also be a good idea even at the first signs.
You don't have to be an "addict" to want to change your alcohol consumption.
What is true in the treatment of addiction with hypnosis is also true in the treatment of alcohol addiction with hypnotherapy. When people drink to change their feelings or dull pain, alcohol becomes a tool of the unconscious that goes beyond intoxication. When alcohol becomes a remedy for hecticness, stress or sadness, it becomes increasingly difficult to get away from it.
Those affected are often plagued by shame about the things they have done under the influence of alcohol. The cumulative hangover gets bigger and bigger, so to speak.
"I drink to forget that I'm ashamed because I drink"
Drunkard from "The Little Prince"
For these reasons, it is important to know that it is a good idea to reduce alcohol consumption as early as possible with hypnosis.
In all treatments for alcohol addiction, it is important that the client sticks with it. It is therefore important that the withdrawal symptoms are reduced so that they are tolerable. If the withdrawal from alcohol addiction is to be successful in the long term, many things have to be brought into balance internally. The special properties of hypnosis are very useful here.
Hypnotherapy helps to tackle the root of alcohol addiction and thus reduce the addiction. In the treatments we not only move away from alcohol but also towards a more balanced life. Among other things, the risk factors for relapse are for a relapse are reduced. The unconscious mind is taught methods of dealing with stress, negative feelings etc. without alcohol.
Through the targeted use of amnesia, it may also be possible to erase the addiction memory piece by piece.
In order to stop drinking with hypnosis, you need to strengthen your inner resources. Not only the ability to say no, but also, for example, the strength to face up to what the alcohol has caused. By strengthening from within, the addiction to alcohol can be pushed more and more out of one's own system and alcohol abuse decreases in a sustainable way. Abstinence becomes permanently possible from within and not just temporarily triggered from the outside.
Hypnotherapy for alcoholics often requires a fundamental change. This usually takes some time. During this time, it is often crucial that those affected can do something themselves. Self-hypnosis gives us this opportunity. Whenever the desire or urge for alcohol arises, it can be used to overcome the addiction. Through hypnotic training, it is possible to stay strong. be able to.
Hypnotherapy is not magic, nor is it a "fix" from the outside. If the goal is to achieve lifelong abstinence, then this is not a matter for just a few sessions. If you want to get away from alcohol with hypnosis, you really have to be fully committed to it and help yourself. Fighting alcohol addiction naturally takes time. Hypnotherapy is well suited to slowly reducing the addiction while strengthening other aspects of life.
Hypnotherapy is very suitable for the treatment of alcohol addiction. Both in the direct fight against addiction and in the prevention of relapse. Due to the unique possibilities of hypnosis, it can also be used as a supplement to other treatment methods.
The repeated touching, squeezing, plucking or scratching of your own skin can range from annoying to destructive.
Either way, it involves a psychological and emotional component. This is exactly the part we tackle with hypnosis against skin picking. Because even if other methods have already been tried, hypnosis can help you to leave yourself alone.
When mania appears in the name, too much energy is usually directed to the wrong place.
Skin picking is referred to as an impulse control disorder. For me as a hypnotherapist, however, controlling impulses is much less important than guiding my clients to the point where they have no impulses at all.
In addition, the question is often asked whether skin picking disorder is an addiction or an obsessive-compulsive disorder.
For me in hypnosis, this does not play a major role. Nor does it matter whether it is a mental illness or a mental disorder.
So the name of the problem is less important to me than the form of the solution. For me, skin picking therapy with hypnosis consists of stopping the skin picking by changing the unconscious triggers and using the energy for positive things.
According to the cliché, the view of hypnosis goes a little deeper with most problems. Because the experienced hypnotherapist knows that the unconscious never does anything just like that.
Even self-harming behavior like skin picking has a certain positive intention. Of course, many of those affected think to themselves "No, that's just stupid" or "I have to stop", but perhaps it is precisely this "making yourself look bad" that is part of the problem.
The unconscious wants survival, not necessarily a good life. For this reason, skin picking is a way of dealing with inner impulses and emotions.
We have to deal with negative emotions, stress or tension somehow. There are more suitable and less suitable techniques. Destroying your own skin belongs in the second category. Nevertheless, it can give us an indication of emotions that are not given enough attention. Anyone who harms someone usually doesn't like that person very much, especially if it's themselves.
It is probably no coincidence that skin picking often happens on the face or in other obvious places. The inside is carried to the outside and not leaving one's own skin alone or even destroying it is therefore usually the ultimate self-criticism. This also creates a vicious circle, because every time you look in the mirror, more rejection of yourself arises.
Skin pickers often reveal a subliminal aggression against themselves. This auto-aggression can also be a sign of rejection of oneself or parts of oneself.
Most people who do skin picking would not describe themselves as aggressive.
However, this is often where the problem lies. Because if you don't allow yourself to let it out and assert yourself, the frustration and stress often remain pent up.
The goal of hypnotherapy for skin picking is, of course, the ability to leave oneself alone. However, the path to this goal can vary.
The advantage of hypnosis for skin picking is that we can tackle the problem directly in the subconscious. This approach therefore has a higher probability of success than many other treatment methods.
Experience has shown that there are many reasons for stress and overwhelming emotions.
However, the solution is often a calmer way of dealing with feelings. If we can hypnotically bring calm to our inner life, we can reduce stress. And this usually has a positive effect. The calmness then often spreads to the skin.
Leaving it alone has two meanings and is often the first step in acute cases.
Our perception of ourselves has a major influence on our behavior. And it is precisely this perception and evaluation that we can influence with hypnosis.
In this way, we can transform the assessment of skin picking in treatment from "bad" and "wrong" to "ok". This has the great advantage that the behavior no longer causes stress, as it is then neither good nor bad, but simply ok.
This has a generally positive influence on self-image and reduces rejection.
Many people always talk about self-love. However, love is not always the best guide. When I do skin picking therapy with hypnosis, the basis is therefore self-respect.
If we respect someone, we usually leave them alone and don't pick on them. This respect can also lead to liking.
If this happens to ourselves, we can stop skin picking and switch to positive self-care.
So with hypnotherapy we learn to tackle the same problems and emotions, but in a positive, uplifting way.
Those who respect themselves look after themselves and their own skin, even in stressful situations.
Dermatillomania online therapy with hypnosis is an effective method for treating skin picking disorder. By using hypnosis techniques, the underlying causes and triggers of the compulsive behavior can be identified and dealt with.
Skin picking online hypnotherapy offers the advantage that it can be carried out from the comfort of your own home and can therefore be flexibly integrated into your everyday life. It gives those affected the opportunity to receive help with skin picking from anywhere and improve their quality of life in the long term.
Hypnosis helps with skin picking by directly addressing the underlying unconscious causes. By resolving the psychological causes, the skin can be left alone and there is the necessary support to stop skin picking. Skin picking treatment with hypnotherapy can also be used in combination with other therapy methods.
It is generally known that hypnosis is a good method for quitting smoking. However, the question that many people ask themselves is the cost of quitting smoking with hypnosis. In general, we can say that quitting smoking permanently with hypnosis costs around 300Fr - 600Fr. This is a basic application which, in our experience, goes deeper than many people think.
Hypnotherapy is an effective tool for breaking bad habits like smoking from the ground up. It is an alternative treatment method to traditional methods of quitting smoking, such as nicotine replacement therapy, and can be a more holistic approach to quitting.
Hypnosis uses trance, which allows a more direct connection to the unconscious and so we can make changes at a deeper level than just with the conscious mind. Smoking cessation often includes aspects and experiences that are not directly associated with smoking.
The cost of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation varies greatly and depends on factors such as the number of sessions, the location and experience of the therapist and the complexity of the smoking habit. For example, if a person has been smoking for several decades, the cost of their hypnotherapy may be higher than for someone who has only smoked for a few years.
In addition, insurance coverage for alternative treatments such as hypnotherapy can affect the overall cost and make it more expensive or less expensive for the individual. It is also important how much preparatory work has been done. If someone has prepared thoroughly for quitting smoking and is really fully convinced, then it usually takes fewer sessions for success.
In some cases, the price of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation can be prohibitively expensive for some individuals. It is important to research the cost upfront and find a therapist who is willing to work with the individual's budget. Additionally, it is important to consider the potential long-term benefits of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation, such as better health and improved quality of life.
In most cases, package deals and promises of guarantees are not particularly recommended. This is because short-term successes are easily possible, but in the long term these applications are usually not blessed with great success.
When considering the cost of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation, it is important to understand the different types of hypnosis, such as in-person appointments or online hypnosis.
The price of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation also depends on the level of experience of the hypnotist. It is important to find a hypnotist who has experience in helping people quit smoking and who is certified in hypnotherapy.
The cost of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation varies depending on the length and frequency of the sessions. In general, you can expect to pay between 100 and 200 euros or Swiss francs per session. You can also expect two to five sessions for permanent smoking cessation. This means you can expect to pay between 200-1000 Swiss francs or euros, depending on the strength of your desire to smoke.
In the end, the cost of a hypnotherapy session for smoking cessation is much lower than the long-term costs associated with smoking, even when you factor in healthcare costs.
When it comes to smoking cessation, there are various hypnotic ways to reduce costs:
Self-hypnosis is an effective tool for quitting smoking, as demonstrated by the success of one person who was able to quit after just five weeks of daily practice. Self-hypnosis is the practice of entering a trance-like state to help you achieve your desired goal. It can be used in the form of virtual hypnosis or hypnosis apps, and many people have had success using this method to quit smoking. During the hypnosis session, the person is guided through positive imagery and affirmations that help them to reprogram their subconscious mind and break the habit of smoking. This method can be very successful when combined with other techniques such as lifestyle and behavioral changes, and can be very helpful in leading a smoke-free life.
Hypnotherapy via the internet is usually cheaper than on-site hypnosis, as the therapist can save on the cost of the premises. Online hypnotherapy for smoking cessation also costs less in terms of time and travel.
It may also be that hypnosis works faster at home, as it takes place in familiar surroundings. It is also cheaper with fewer appointments.
It's time to take control of your life and free yourself from the shackles of addiction. Hypnosis is a powerful tool to help you quit smoking and achieve your goals. Through hypnotic induction, you can access your subconscious mind and become more aware of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Hypnosis is one of the methods that can really help you to become a non-smoker. In addition, unlike medication, smoking hypnosis is a safe method.
Quitting smoking is a difficult task, but hypnosis can help you make lasting changes. With dedication and focus, you can achieve your goal of becoming a non-smoker. The key is to find a therapist you trust and who understands your individual needs. With the right guidance and support, you can be on your way to a healthier, smoke-free life.
You can easily see the appeal of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation: It's quick, convenient and affordable. The cost depends on several factors, such as the type of hypnotherapy, the duration and the experience of the therapist.
On average, it can cost between 100 and 200 euros or CHF. However, by researching and comparing, you can find ways to reduce the cost. In the end, it's a small price to pay for such a powerful tool to help you break free from smoking.

In order to use hypnosis for the fight against addiction, we must first understand understand what addiction is. The definition of addiction is the irresistible craving for a substance or condition. So this addiction can be substance or non-substance. Generally speaking, you can be addicted to just about anything. If we have a desire for it, then it can already tend towards addiction or dependence. dependence.
Often, however, the transition between normal behavior and addiction is fluid. With substances, one speaks of abuse when the consumption of normal use becomes addictive behavior. In such cases we also speak of dependence syndrome. At the latest when the behavior becomes harmful and dysfunctional in relation to the addictive substance, it becomes becomes clear to most that something is wrong. Since addiction is considered a disease the term addictive disease is often used.
So, curing the sufferers from addiction is the goal of addiction therapy with hypnosis.
The unconscious mind, which we all have, is usually very pragmatic. It takes the solution it has available and often the one that is easiest. This has apparently proven itself in the course of evolution. It also relies on the reward center in the brain. This evaluates our world, so to speak, according to the amount of happiness hormones released.
That which helps us survive is still rewarded with good feelings. Addictive substances trigger exactly these good feelings. Either because they fit the 4 Fs of survival, like food or sex, or because they simulate something to our brain, like cocaine or computer games.
Most people have various possibilities to reach their desired feelings of happiness. If many things fit, we have a good foundation of satisfaction and a good inner feeling of wholeness. People with such a good basis can usually also consume addictive substances from time to time without becoming dependent.
People who develop a dependency (getting hooked) and get hooked on the addictive substance like a fish on a hook, therefore, have other causes than just consumption. The worm alone is not enough, the hook is also needed.
But what is this hook that is present in some and not in others?
I have dealt with many clients who were addicted to a wide variety of substances. substances and it was always similar in the end: something that is missing.
Our unconscious is always looking for wholeness and balance. So when we lack something, it is not simply left out. It is replaced by something else that has a similar effect. So if we lack the good feelings from the inside, it will have to be supplied from the outside.
Most people at the beginning of an addiction still think that they have everything under control. They think they are "strong enough" to stop again. That may be true, but with addiction problems, sheer willpower is usually not enough.
One of the reasons for this is that dependence increases over time. This is because our unconscious processes rely more and more on the addictive substance. Since consumption is usually the easiest way to achieve feelings of happiness, other, less stimulating activities take a back seat. The whole life revolves more and more around something.
The addictive substance becomes the only solution to certain or even all problems. Therefore, it is logical that the craving then also becomes greater and greater, even if we no longer want it.
Often, the first attempt to stop is made at some point. This causes massive stress for the entire system. And what does the addict do to relieve stress? He reaches for the addictive substance. This vicious circle often nips addiction cessation in the bud.
If you notice that you are reducing yourself more and more to the addictive substance and can no longer stop on your own, it is time to get help. A wide variety of methods can be used to do this.
Hypnotherapy is one of the therapy methods whose effect is increasingly proven. For example, in one study, hypnosis in groups was shown to have a 77% success rate after at least one year in alcohol addicts.
What makes hypnosis so effective for fighting addiction is that we can get to the root of the addiction. We deliver the appropriate interventions directly to the unconscious. That is, we give the unconscious direct suggestions to what is really what makes the difference.
Many actions that addicts take are neither logical nor make sense to the conscious mind. What I often hear is "I know it makes no sense, but I do it anyway". This is a classic case of unconscious dynamics that cannot be influenced better by any other method than hypnosis. To be able to change something in the processes of the subconscious, we use hypnosis for addictions.
What is important to say beforehand: In the minds of many people there is still the idea that in hypnosis it happens in such a way that the hypnotist or hypnotherapist snaps his fingers, the client faints and upon awakening all problems are solved forever. Sure, there are still hypnotists who offer such things, but professional hypnosis looks different. Anyone who comes to a hypnosis practice with the idea that hypnosis will "fix you from the outside" will almost always be disappointed. Especially with addictions and hypnosis, there is often the idea that everything is solved with a flick of the wrist. That's why I'm writing this as an explanation.
Hypnosis can make a lot of things easier and sometimes even be the only way to get away from something, but usually not in one session. And actually it always takes change to change something.
Wenn wir also mit den passenden Erwartungen an die Sache herangehen, dann können wir grosse Erfolge haben.
Addiction therapy with hypnosis is tailored to each client. The interventions with hypnosis can be as different as the person himself.
In order for me to get the whole picture, I involve my clients' whole selves. So we don't just talk about the addiction or problems in the algine mind, but also about resources. This is important so that we can use what is there. So we see what is there and what is missing. In hypnotherapy we use everything that the client brings with him.
On an unconscious level, we also search for the causes or the hooks that make us cling to the addiction. These dynamics are often unconscious, which is why it is also important to search for clues here.
When we have found what is missing, then we can set about building it.
To really get away from addiction, it usually takes an inner strength that goes far beyond "pure willpower". In order to be able to stand firm enough, you also need a good foundation of inner convictions and feelings. This positive inner atmosphere and sense of self that contain the risk and act as protective factors against relapse.
Wenn diese grundlegenden Aspekte nicht vorhanden sind, dann können wir sie zuerst entwickeln (lassen) im Innern.
Self-healing in addicts can include many things. Not only the physical healing in case of damage, but also the mental healing is meant. Healing hypnosis works in many areas.
Many people behave differently than they would otherwise because of the disease of addiction. For this reason, you often find a lot of self-loathing among addicts. Healing these psychological wounds is often a big part of fighting addiction and preventing relapse.
It doesn't necessarily have to be self-forgiveness, but the view of one's own value has a big impact. Whoever feels himself to be valuable enough again, can also be worth it again not to do the addictive stuff to himself anymore. Those who feel guilty accept almost any punishment, including the life of an addict.
If we also use hypnotherapy to cause the mental wounds to heal and increase self-worth, then these one-sidednesses in life can be resolved again.
Once it has been possible to get away from the addictive substance for a certain time, then the greatest danger is to relapse again. If old patterns of addiction show up again, then this is usually an indication that in certain cases the unconscious still reaches for the addictive substance in order to try to solve certain problems. Therefore, it is important for relapse prevention to learn and practice the emotional skills to recognize these situations and inner processes early enough.
If something like this is recognized, the conscious mind can also help and learn to intervene directly. For example, through active self-hypnosis. This is also trained in the comprehensive treatment concept.
The goal of treatment of addiction is that the addictive substance is no longer needed. Not only in the sense of taking away the craving, but also to develop such inner competencies that it no longer needs a substitute.
Hypnotic addiction treatment from the ground up is designed to change sensibilities, thinking and behavior so that addictive substances are no longer needed as a crutch to get through life.
Hypnosis for the treatment of addiction helps on several levels and also where the conscious mind has no direct access.
This gives us options for treating addiction that can make all the important difference.
Hypnosis has helped many lead addiction-free lives and should be included in any treatment for addiction.
As with other addictions, hypnosis can help with gambling addiction. This refers to addiction to gambling, not addiction to computer games.
Therapy with hypnosis helps to get gambling under control.
Since pathological gambling has recently been placed in the same category as substance addictions, the approach to treatment is also similar.
If we want to understand why certain people sacrifice so much for the game and partially distort their whole reality in order to continue gambling, we need to understand how the unconscious works in such a situation.
We know that the unconscious mind basically makes sure that we survive. And one of the aspects of survival is to take the easiest way to get resources.
That's why it rewards a win disproportionately with happiness hormones in certain people.
Many who have developed an addiction to gambling tell of an initial winning phase. So the first steps in the direction of addiction are the initial successes and the accompanying feelings of happiness. For the unconscious, it becomes an easy way to get satisfaction.
The excitement and tension of gambling can also be wonderfully used to cover up other things or to balance out negative feelings. Those who are driven to gamble often forget everything else.
A gambling trance develops, so to speak, in which much runs on autopilot and the conscious mind no longer has much to say. For this reason, gambling addiction is also called impulse control disorder. The impulses to gamble run largely unconsciously. Many describe this as "like another person".
Gambling or betting becomes more and more the main tactic of the unconscious to balance problems. That is why it is often reported that the thoughts turn more and more around the game.
The more gambling takes over in life, the more it becomes an identity. Winnings are bragged about and the ideal image of the winner is played.
Whether in a casino or on the Internet, every game of chance from roulette to scratch cards is designed so that "the bank" is in the plus for a long time and the player is in the minus. So if you play long enough, you always lose. This makes for ever greater financial consequences and perhaps even first despair.
But what has the unconscious chosen as the perfect solution for negative feelings? Playing. This means that a vicious circle of negative feelings and the ever more often failing attempt to compensate for them occurs. The pathological gambling can thus hardly be stopped. The more is lost, the more must be played.
The reality of the losses must be distorted more and more or talked down and many think they can compensate the losses with profits. The fact that this is statistically impossible, so to speak, has no influence, because the conscious mind has lost its influence.
In addition, the system gets used to the excitement and therefore higher and higher amounts have to be set in order to achieve the same tension. More and more money has to be brought in. Begging, borrowing and stealing are the order of the day when one's own money is no longer enough. In the process, relationships often fall apart, leading to even greater isolation. It also blocks many possible ways out of addiction.
The course of gambling addiction is not always just steadily getting worse. Episodes of crashing and catching take place in the lives of many addicted gamblers.
However, when these processes are consolidated in the brain, it is difficult to get rid of them. Accordingly, the danger of relapse exists until we convince the unconscious mind of other tactics and learn new procedures. Only with change from the ground up is it possible to get rid of gambling addiction.
When the conscious mind cannot make the changes needed, hypnotherapy is a great way to make progress in gambling addiction treatment.
Wherever the affected person is in the gambling career, hypnosis has methods to treat the gambling addiction.
The therapy of gambling addiction with hypnosis has different approaches. These are similar to the treatment of addictions to substances.
In order to get a gambling addiction under control, the unconscious must basically be convinced to stop asking for gambling. Since the unconscious part differs from person to person, the exact procedures of therapy with hypnosis are also different.
However, there are certain parts that occur over and over again.
In gambling-related addictive behavior, there is often a disconnect between the conscious mind and the unconscious parts. This usually manifests as "I know I should stop, but I can't". In such cases, the unconscious is still too much at the helm and the impulses are not yet controlled enough.
In hypnosis, all parts can connect. With the more direct communication, the conscious mind can regain some control. Furthermore, in the hypnotic trance, certain logic can be brought closer to the unconscious mind.
So there is a better understanding and possibly a reduction in stress.
When there is some control again and the hole is not dug any deeper, then we can really stop playing.
To do this, we often need to replace gambling with something positive. To do this, hypnotherapy often uses the option of resetting the reward center. Then other processes are practiced in the unconscious to interrupt the patterns. That is, gambling is replaced as the go-to tactic of the unconscious and the reward in the brain is reduced or dissolved.
Hypnosis can be very helpful in overcoming gambling addiction. With the effect directly in the unconscious, old patterns can be dissolved and the addiction can be discarded.
It is believed that about one fifth of all people struggle with shyness. Some accept it and count being intimidated among their character traits. Others look for a way to get rid of shyness. If you're reading this, you probably belong to the second group.
Hypnosis helps with shyness on an unconscious level. Since shyness has a lot to do with one's own felt identity and relationship with the outside world, hypnotherapy is very suitable for getting rid of shyness.
Old beliefs and blockages can be dissolved and we can make room for a natural, healthy self-confidence.
How the whole thing works I explain to you here. So that we can treat the shyness from the ground up, the reasons must also be able to
There are many theories about how shyness develops. Science has identified many characteristics that can promote shy behavior. Among them is the perception of the world. Also different centers in the brain are held responsible for it and the even partial shyness is considered to be the result of genetic inheritance.
Some say introversion is the trigger and it is simply an unchangeable trait.
A lot of things may be true, but first of all this is a bit too top-heavy and secondly I am not a fan of "that's just the way it is, there's nothing we can do about it except learn to deal with it" when it comes to stressful characteristics. Because my experience shows me that with the willingness to change something, we can usually change something.
And anyway: shy people generally have the tendency to think too much. So I think we can make it a little easier for ourselves: Shyness comes from being intimidated. When other people intimidate me, I logically react with shyness. The exception is only the shy people who overcompensate. But basically, the uncomfortable feeling arises from the presence of other people.
So the shyness is a result of the relationship of "I and the others". If "the others" are felt to be big and I feel small, then the fear is a logical reaction.
But how does this "me small, others big" come about?
In the many hours I've worked with people with social anxiety, there's hardly been one where we haven't talked about parenting.
No living being thinks of itself that "the others" are more important than itself. Such thinking and especially feeling is almost always a result of education.
Many parents mean no harm when they want to instill a certain kind of manners in their children. However, the "I" is often overshadowed by the "man.
If too much emphasis is placed on "what do others think" in public behavior, then one's own development is inhibited bit by bit.
If there is no agreement, either one's own feelings are more important or those of others.
If one is now sent into the world as a well-behaved child with this way of thinking, experiences of a negative nature are often added to this.
Those who have learned to take a back seat hardly stand a chance against those who do not.
So our clever unconscious recognizes social interaction as a source of emotional and sometimes even physical pain.
Since pain and being hurt is not great, it starts to want to protect us from it. And how does the unconscious communicate that something is dangerous? With inhibitions and fear.
Just as we have learned not to touch the stove top, education and experience have made "the others" seemingly big and dangerous.
When the feelings and needs of others take precedence in a conflict, the only solution is to avoid the conflict. Thus, a withdrawal and intimidation takes place.
Most shy people are very empathetic. That's actually a good thing. But just because you have a big heart, you shouldn't let everyone in.
Those who look at the world too much from the point of view of others are often not in touch with themselves enough.
In such cases it is clear that one withdraws. Those who cannot yet decide with whom they feel sympathy must withdraw in order to keep some energy for themselves.
A certain amount of shyness is quite normal in children. At certain stages, it is even part of healthy development. In the process, this relationship between "me and the others" settles down. And if you have your first experience of what assholes other children can be, you can't blame them for shying away to a certain extent.
However, the well-adjusted adult should have learned one or another method of dealing with other people. Whether they are sympathetic or not.
Certain mistakes in upbringing should also have been eradicated. One of the bad realizations of growing up should have been that you realized that mom wasn't always right either and therefore you don't always have to let others go first.
But if you're still overly shy on the road as an adult, that may be an indication that it hasn't happened naturally yet.
So if you're an adult and still struggling with shyness, it may be time to change something on the inside.
Certain of my clients who are plagued by shyness tell me that many people around them don't even realize how shy they actually are. Often those around them think that someone who is actually shy, that person is cold or arrogant. Others cover up their social insecurity with exuberance, which ultimately also puts off the person across from them.
While this is a good way to avoid social situations (e.g., by simply not being invited), it is not particularly conducive to good social interactions. On the contrary, it can make the problem worse, since an arrogant or pushy demeanor generally leads to rejection, which then leads to more intimidation, which then leads to more defensiveness and arrogance.
So this circle should be broken as soon as possible and replaced by a healthy self-confidence.
So what can you do about shyness? Hypnosis of course
Shyness is considered a disease when there is great suffering because of it. In such a case, it is called a social phobia, which is considered a mental disorder. The transition is fluid and therefore about the same applies to both.
There are many tips on how to overcome shyness. However, a conscious change of behavior is often not the whole solution. Far too often, people make plans to appear courageous or self-confident, only to react intimidated again in the moment.
Of course, there is a place for courage in such cases, but the relationship between "I and the others" must be fundamentally clarified.
Only if we also unconsciously and instinctively display the self-confident behavior, it is possible to permanently overcome shyness. So the self-confidence must come one way or another from within and by itself.
To create these changes at the deepest level, there is hardly a better way than hypnosis. When we use hypnotherapy to replace shyness with something more useful, the changes often come about all by themselves. So that nothing has to be played anymore, but instead it is really felt.
If you want to stand up for yourself with all your heart, you should also allow yourself to feel everything that is there. And this is an important part of getting rid of shyness with hypnosis. Because in the hypnotic trance there is a coming together of all the parts that otherwise function independently.
You can think of these parts as the heart and the head, or the inner and outer self, or the unconscious and the conscious. Either way, all parts must pull together if you want to be confident and secure.
If the others seem big and we ourselves seem small, then we have to change this view. Most people would know how to grow internally. Especially when you want to stay calm in certain situations, you are advised to find your inner center.
But there is not only rest, but above all power. For as we say, there is not strength in rest, but rest in strength. He who is strong can also remain calm. This is confirmed not only by the bear.
If we hypnotically activate this inner power and allow the strong heart to beat only for us, then this growth can come about. The others become smaller, while we ourselves become bigger.
In this way, we also clarify the relationship. When one's own feelings are allowed to become so intense that the others are overshadowed, then it also becomes clear which ones are more important.
If we learn to overcome our limitations and inhibitions, we can also overcome shyness with hypnosis.
People who are shy often want to come out of their shell. But they are often stopped in their tracks by certain blockades. "Can I only look for myself?" I am often asked. "Yes" I usually say, "If you don't like to lift your own backpack, you shouldn't let others do it for you".
With hypnosis we can make the corset of education a little wider, so that there is air to breathe. Most of the time we don't have to throw away everything we were taught, but we have to sort out what doesn't fit and what inhibits. This way we can release the inner blocks and develop more self-confidence with hypnosis.
When the space of possibilities is expanded, it becomes possible to come out of oneself. When one's own feelings are no longer doubted, one usually allows oneself to show them.
Shyness is basically also a way to protect ourselves. But if we no longer want to simply avoid social situations, then we need a different form of self-protection in such moments. It works best when we learn to close ourselves up inside. Grow a thicker skin, so to speak.
With the methods of hypnotherapy we can stimulate exactly that inside. There are different types of suggestion for this, but it is important to separate the outer from the inner in such a way that the good stays inside and the bad outside.
Thus, it is possible to protect the inner atmosphere in such a way that one can be on the road confidently and free from shyness.
If we start to communicate and influence on the unconscious level, then we can also do something against possible loneliness and isolation. Because if we allow ourselves to divide people into those who are important to us and those who may be indifferent to us, then we can open up where it is good and close where it does not fit.
This promotes social skills and also allows for creative opportunities, even with people who are not familiar.
We have seen that how we deal with the outside depends essentially on how we deal with the inside. How we perceive our environment is determined by ourselves. Or rather, our unconscious determines it.
So if we want to get rid of the essential inner workings that sustain shyness, we need an approach to it. Just consciously setting out to do something is usually not enough.
That is why hypnosis is the best choice for shyness. Because with the methods of hypnotherapy we can apply targeted changes at the unconscious level, which bit by bit reduce shyness and promote relaxation with hypnosis.
The transition from shyness to social phobia can be smooth. It can occur when speaking in public, eating, or simply being around a certain number of people. Often the fear is also related to the belief of knowing what others think about you.
You don't have to be the most extroverted people pleaser. However, if the avoidance behavior becomes stronger and stronger or the restrictions too great, it goes rather in the direction of sociophobia or social anxiety disorder. The earlier one takes influence on the problem, the faster it can often be solved.
Treatment of social anxiety with hypnosis can bring very big changes. The nature of the problem makes hypnotherapy a great help for social phobia. The unconscious causes can be directly addressed in the hypnotic trance.
In the history of mankind, people were always dependent on other people. So if others have determined to a certain extent about the own extinction, it was meaningful to be interested in what others think of you and whether the opinion of "the others" about you is positive or negative. The human unconsciousness has also developed in this way.
However, when these "others" become a multi-headed monster to be afraid of, something has gone wrong.
A large part of hypnosis is the relationship between inside and outside. How we react internally to something external can hardly be changed without hypnosis, because this lies in the sphere of influence of the unconscious. The conscious mind can try as hard as it likes, if the unconscious mind does not play along, usually only a short-term change is possible, if at all.
Conversely, our behavior towards the outside is determined by our inside. A person who feels anxious or insecure is more likely to avoid upsetting situations than a person who feels comfortable and strong. If we evaluate ourselves as good on the inside, we expect the same from others and vice versa.
The focus and allocation of importance to the inside and the outside also has an influence. If we want to get rid of a social phobia, we must inevitably give less attention or importance to the outside.
The unconscious assessment of the self is of course very important in self-worth and self-confidence and also makes dealing with anxiety easier.
There can be many triggers for social anxiety disorder. In life, we automatically and unconsciously learn something about ourselves. Be it from parents in childhood or social situations: somewhere affected people have learned that social situations are threatening for them. The unconscious then reacts to this threat with fear, trembling, sweating, freezing, blushing and much more.
In order for us to overcome social phobia, we often have to forget what we have learned about ourselves.
Social phobia therapy with hypnosis can include many different aspects. For example, symptom management issues, such as alcohol or medication use, often need to be included in treatment. Many people with social anxiety disorder also experience themselves as unable to relate in some way or do not know how to relate to others. Part of hypnotherapy is often also building instinctual unconscious social skills. So, so to speak, the practical part to all the theoretical advice you can read everywhere.
The answer to this question I can say from social phobia therapy experience: Yes, it's quite possible. I have often experienced almost miraculous transformations when we were able to hypnotically release and forget the old.
Social anxiety is absolutely curable, but it often takes longer than certain sufferers hope for in hypnotherapy. Due to the interconnectedness with sometimes very many experiences of even traumatic nature, it usually takes several sessions.
If the seclusion has also caused depression, for example, we must of course treat that as well.
Hypnosis brings many tools for change. For example, we can weaken or even dissolve and replace the old negative experiences and memories. Directing the focus is also an important part of hypnosis.
By working in the unconscious mind, we can address the blockages and fears more directly than with many other methods. We do not so much want to fight the social anxiety as to bring the unconscious, positive intentions behind it into a more effective form. In this way, we can use the energy that was previously wasted on negative thoughts for positive development.
Hypnosis can also help with speech anxiety or fear of commitment with the effect in the unconscious. Furthermore, hypnosis can help to reduce the negative self-image that has led to the fears in social situations.
So with hypnosis it can become possible to overcome even a strong social anxiety and to build up and use the resources it takes to stay free of anxiety and calm in social situations.
